    AbstractVenous leg ulcers (VLU) are a growing issue in healthcare. Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) and Endoglin (CD105) help to regulate wound healing and inflammation. CD105 can be cleaved off of its normal site on the cell membrane, called soluble CD105 (sCD105). Then the sCD105 can bind to and lower TGF-beta’s signal. This will increase angiogenesis.
